A fluorescent penetrant dye is applied to the surface of the part and allowed to penetrate any flaws on the part, before any excess penetrant is removed from the surface. A developer is then applied and the part inspected to show up the location of any flaws on the part.
Surface preparation is key for fluorescent penetrant inspective to give accurate results as any dirt or grease may interfere with the results. The penetrant is then applied, before allowing to dry and any excess is removed. A developer is applied before Poeton’s skilled inspectors evaluate the part under UV light to view the results of the test.

Highly sensitive penetrants can detect even the smallest of surface defects
