Anodising Composites
Apticote 340 is a range of specialist composite anodising solutions for niche applications. Using advanced materials, our Research & Development team have pushed the boundaries of standard anodising offering new solutions for your engineering challenges.
As with all anodising solutions, Apticote 340 is an electrolytic process for aluminium alloys that transforms the surface layer into aluminium oxide. Apticote 340 takes the basic anodising process and combines it with advanced materials to create composite coatings. These coatings offer greater properties than standard anodising processes and are capable of solving complex engineering challenges.
Options

ANODISING COMPOSITES
Apticote 340ER
For high electrical resistance

Dielectric strength
The exceptional electrical resistance properties are achieved through the application of a specialist topcoat to seal the anodising. The coating has been tested to resist at least 1.5kV of electrical current, with expectations that the coating will continue to perform at higher currents.

Excellent corrosion resistance
At least 4000 hours salt spray resistance.

Precise thickness & coverage
The refined process developed by Poeton ensures even coverage.
- Battery applications
- Train & rail systems
- Torque wrenches
- Aerospace

ANODISING COMPOSITES
Apticote 340SC
For maximum wear resistance

Wear resistance
The excellent wear resistance comes from the inclusion of silicon carbide within the coating.
- Cable trays
