Electroless Nickel PTFE

DETAILS

Electroless Nickel PTFE

Electroless Nickel PTFE is a slick composite Nickel/PTFE coating that gives a low coefficient of friction without undermining the cohesion and the relative hardness of the coating. The particle size of the PTFE has been reduced to sub-micron spheres, achieving the optimum % content and even distribution.

The lubricating properties of the nickel/PTFE mix make it an ideal coating in situations where traditional lubricants are unsuitable and also exhibits low sliding wear and anti-galling properties.

For an advanced Nickel/PTFE coating see Apticote 450 and Apticote 460.
