Poeton has invested a huge amount of R&D resource over the last 7 years evaluating and perfecting the application methods of the Alocrom alternatives, such as: Surtec 650V, Iridite NCP and Socomore TCS PACS.
Each of these alternatives has pros and cons and in some instances the application process is not as easy or as forgiving as using Alocrom/Alodine. This is why for each of these treatments our R&D department has developed unique processing parameters and methodologies to ensure each treatment can be applied effectively and repeatability to each aluminium alloy.
Under the Military specification MIL-DTL-5541, type ll covers the chromate conversion coatings free from hexavalent chrome.
