About the role
We are seeking a proven leader to join our Cardiff team in the role of Site Manager and help us achieve our ambitious growth targets. You’ll be ultimately responsible for the day to day running and operational performance of the site, executing the business strategy to ensure achievement of annual budgets.

What will you be doing?
The role of Site Manager is key in ensuring our ongoing success. You’ll be focussed on delivering excellence in customer satisfaction, supporting innovative development of value adding solutions and facilitating an uncompromising continuous improvement and waste elimination programme.
Reporting to the General Manager, your exemplary leadership will promote the effective application of business processes, the highest levels of HSE standards and compliance with regulatory and third-party requirements.
As a leader, you’ll engage with our employees to effectively develop the team and accelerate our position as an employer of choice through the application of policies, career development and recognition schemes.
As the Site Manager, issues at N-2 level will be escalated to you in the first instance, enabling most issues to be resolved without the involvement of Group Senior Leadership. When required, or in the absence of the site General Manager, you will be expected to cover the duties and responsibilities of the General Manager role to provide senior support at the site.

Are you right for the role?
This is a senior role within in the business looking after several direct reports and we are looking for someone with at least 5 years operations management experience in an automotive/engineering environment, and at least a level 5 formal qualification in Management or Business Administration. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in building teams, management of customer relationships and be familiar with Lean sigma principles and trained to a minimum of green belt. A solid understanding of financial cost controls and HSE legislation is also required.
