A selection of Apticote solutions to your coating problems
APTICOTE 800/17 - High Molybdenum Blend

Characteristics - Self-fluxing alloy blend with high molybdenum content, low coefficient of friction with higher wear/scuff resistance, higher bond and tensile strength than more expensive molybdenum wire coatings.

Applications - Shifter forks, Piston rods, Gear cones, Cylinder walls, Brake drums.
Whenever high resistance to wear at temperatures up to 345ºC is required.
APTICOTE 800/19 - Alumina Titania Composite

Characteristics - Only tungsten carbide achieves a harder dense coating than this composite of aluminium oxide and titanium which is extremely wear resistant to 540ºC. High dielectric strength. Good wetting resistance. Very smooth finish unaffected by most acids and alkalis.

Applications - Crankshafts, Rocker arms, Rod liners, Pumps, Water turbine nozzles, Heater tube insulation.
Any application requiring a combination of high wear resistance and smooth, non-adhesive finish (e.g. processing plant and equipment).
APTICOTE 800/24 - Tungsten Carbide-Cobalt Composite

Characteristics - Hard, dense, smooth and consistently high quality coatings from a fine grade tungsten carbide and cobalt composite. Extremely tough low temperature wear resistance under severe abrasive and fretting-under-impact conditions.

Applications - Jet engine compressor blades, Aircraft flap tracks, Lathe centres, Sucker road couplings, Wire drawing capstans, Trochoid housings, Seals.
Strong protection against fretting, hard surfaces, grains and particles.
APTICOTE 800/28 - Nickel-Aluminium Composite

Characteristics - Reacting exothermically when sprayed, nickel-aluminium composites give dense coatings of high structural integrity that resist oxidation. Self bonds readily and offers impressive bond strength (up to 50% stronger than ordinary powders).

Applications - Stators, Thrust-reversers, Nozzle supports, Exhaust fan blades, High pressure nozzles.
Widely specified - even in the higher temperature ranges - where corrosion resistance is at a premium.
APTICOTE 800/55P - Aluminium Oxide

Characteristics - This hard, dense coating offers greater wear resistance than any other oxide ceramic. Recommended for problems with hard surfaces, abrasive grains, particle erosion and cavitation up to 540ºC. Extra benefits include low coefficient of friction and high dielectric strength.

Applications - Pump seals, Slush pump piston rods, Soldering iron tips, Water turbine buckets, Dump valve plug and seat, Computer recording, Textile machinery components.
Most durable coating, ideal for components suffering heavy wear under high temperatures.

APTICOTE 800/58 - Molybdenum-Nickel-Aluminium Composite

Characteristics - Strong, self bonding composite offering good resistance to wear even where there's some level of impact, Withstands abrasion better than 18.8 stainless steel.

Applications - Crankshaft journals, Fuel system governor weights, Hard combustion surfaces, Cylinder liner bores, Piston rings.
Cost effective choice for sound, all-round performance where conditions are not too severe.

APTICOTE 800/61 - Aluminium-Bronze Composite

Characteristics - Copper-aluminium composite producing a self-bonding aluminium-bronze type coating. At low temperatures, resists abrasive punishment from hard surfaces.

Applications - Piston guides, Press fits, Bearing seats, Shifter forks, Brake drums.
Recommended for soft-bearing applications and salvage build up/re-machining on copper alloy substrates.

APTICOTE 800/67 - Aluminium-Alloy Graphite Composite

Characteristics - Apticote 800/67 aluminium-alloy graphite coatings provide high resistance to abrasion from 315ºC to 425ºC.

Applications - Clearance control coatings for turbine engines.
APTICOTE 850 - Nickel-Chrome- Ceramic Composite

Characteristics - Specially developed to impart, to hydraulic rams, properties of corrosion resistance hither-to only attainable by nickel plating. Not only does this unique coating provide unsurpassed resistance to chemical attack (4000 hours Salt Spray tested), it is also extremely resistant to wear.

Applications - Hydraulic Rams, Lock Gates, Dockside Cranes, Ship Borne Cranes, Ships Loading Doors.
