| Teer coatings now available through Poeton's Motorsport Division | June 2001 | Poeton Industries Limited, a world leader in surface coating technology, has signed an exclusive agreement for its motorsport division, Poeton-Aptec, to market the Teer Coatings portfolio of 'physical vapour deposition' (PVD) coatings world-wide. Poeton Aptec General Manager Neill Ricketts says Teer's PVD coatings, which are designed for the competition engine market, will complement Aptec's own motorsport product range. "The relationship means that we can now offer high performance coatings for cylinder bores, pistons, cam followers, gudgeon pins and valve trains. It also gives us the potential to significantly expand the range of components we can coat and accelerate the development of complete coating solutions to improve the performance and efficiency of competition engines."
