Mike Chedzey, who joined Gloucester-based surface coating specialist Poeton Industries as an apprentice more 36 years ago, has been appointed business manager for the company's Thermal Spray Division.
He will combine the new role with his responsibilities as business manager for Poeton's Hard Chrome Division.
During his 36 years with Poeton Mike has worked in the laboratory, as an inspector and spent five years as quality manager.
His first challenge in his new role is to oversee the installation and commissioning of Poeton's second advanced Thermal Spray Robot, which will substantially increase the company's capacity to provide specialist plasma coatings for components in the aerospace, automotive and general engineering sectors.
